Born in Nice (France), Noé Zagroun was exposed to music as a young child, and started teaching himself piano and composition at 5 years old. With his diverse cultural heritage, from Spain, to North Africa, to France, Noé has been cultivating a sound that marries modern classical music, jazz, and the traditional music of his ancestors. In the spirit of the young pianist, music is colors, shapes, and even flavors: a rare form of what we call “Synesthesia” allows him to have direct links between senses.
At 21 years old, Noé already had the chance to collaborate with some of the top jazz artists of his generation as a pianist, composer, producer and arranger. Artists include: Jacob Collier, Esperanza Spalding, and Federico Malaman. After 12 years at the Conservatory of Nice, and 3 years as an undergraduate student at Berklee College of Music, the pianist is currently a graduate student in the prestigious Berklee Global Jazz Institute. He is working on his first record, that will be out in early 2019.
